Another gay song by the openly gay artist from Israel Ivri Lider. This beautiful gay song is called Jesse.

I love a boy named Jesse
But Jesse doesn't love me back
He says he has a girl in Chelsea he wants so much

I love a boy named Jesse
But Jesse doesn't love me back
He says he's insecure about what he feels and what he wants
What he feels and what he wants

But everytime he smiles at me
I know we are the same
And that he'll change his world for me
If he just knew my name

There's no need for you to say you saw the life they chose for me
For me

I loved a boy named Jesse
But Jesse doesn't love me back
He wants to kiss and go to bed but he doesn't want to talk
I loved a boy named Jesse
But Jesse doesn't love me back

He says he's straight and all that stuff is only in my mind
Only in my mind

All i can hide
I'm doing fine

But everytime he smiles at me i know we are the same
And that'll he'll he change his world for me
If he just knew my name

There's no need for you to say you saw the life they chose for me
For me

I love a boy named Danny
But Danny doesn't love me back
He says he has a girl in Chelsea he wants so much

I love a boy named Danny
But Danny doesn't love me back
He says he's insecure about what he feels and what he wants
He feels and what he wants

The Netherlands allowed it first. Year? 2001. South Africa, Canada, Spain and Belgium allow it too. And now, California. On May 15, 2008, the gay marriage ruling has made it possible for same sex marriages to happen. And the first gay marriage may happen as soon as June 17, 2008.

To celebrate this, I dig out from the net this gay song by Thomas Donovan. As he had said in his gay song, What Our Love Is Made Of - I'm a man with a lover who's a man..

It's a two way street to harmony avenue
You got acceptance for me... I got acceptance for you
Comprendo... This ain't no innuendo
I'll tell ya straight
Yeah! I'll tell ya straight

I'm a man with a lover who's a man
Your stamp of approval don't mean a damn
when you're way too gone to understand
What our love is made of

Ignorant arrogance makes a fool out of you
when you're thinking my life style
has something to do with you
I'm not a freak fairy fag pansy poof homo
I'm just a good hearted dude
What are you?

I'm a man with a lover who's a man
Your stamp of approval don't mean a damn
when you're way too gone to understand
What our love is made of

Ooooh... Yeah...
I'm gonna shine it out! Show the world!

I'm so happy now that I told you how I really feel
I'm so happy holding his hand cause our love is real
I'm not a freak fairy fag pansy poof homo
I'm just a good hearted dude
What are you?

I'm a man with a lover who's a man
Your stamp of approval don't mean a damn
when you're way too gone to understand
What our love is made of

Ooooh... Yeah...
I'm gonna shine it out! Show the world!

My favorite fashionable girls are back. These sharp ladies in the male dominated world make the men work harder to retain their egos. And I just love (and miss) every single moment of these ladies - Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Samantha (Kim Cattrall).

In honor of their return - to the big screen (today) and not TV - I have decided to pen down the obvious gay tv episode of Sex & The City, called All That Glitters.

In this episode, it started with the ladies being bored, and they decided to hang out the hottest place - gay club. Nothing beats the thrill for the 4 ladies to be stuck in the middle of hot, sweaty, muscular men. Even pregnant Miranda could not pass up this chance.

There, while Charlotte is taken away by her gay 'husband', Anthony (Mario Cantone), Miranda bumping into her closet gay colleague Max (Daniel Sauli) and Samantha checking out the meat packages in the men toilet, Carrie had a hard time trying to order a drink until Oliver (Murray Bartlett) shows up. Oliver is a fan of Carrie's column, and the evening ends with a promise of a lunch date between Carrie and Oliver, as well as Carrie ending up with Oliver's gay porn DVD.

One thing leads to another, Carrie bumps into her gay 'husband' Stan (Willie Garson) when she's having lunch with Oliver. Stan kids that Carrie is seeing another gay behind his back, and is jealous of the stolen attention. But it is not Stan who ends up attentionless. In the gay world, a girl stands little chance to hold on to a gay's attention when a gay looks as good as Oliver.

Carrie leaves the place to go back home to her Aidan.

Curious why girls like to watch gay porn? As said in the film, it's to watch the men squirm, when the girls pop in the DVD to watch and laugh together at the gay sex scenes on the TV screen.

Welcome back, ladies.

Jimmy Somerville is the well-known lead singer of the group Bronski Beat, and later on, the group The Communards. Smalltown Boy was a hit for the group Bronski Beat, which talked about gay (homophobia) issue. Jimmy is gay. Several of the songs that he sang could be easily linked to the gay undertones in pop wave or disco beats.

However, it was in the album Dare to Love, released in 1995 where I am able to find more songs that directly hint on male to male emotion, aka gay love (gay song). I have identified 4 songs in the album that clearly speaks of gay emotion, namely, Love Thing, Alright, Come Lately and Because of Him. The other songs could be possibilities too. Check them out.

Dare To Love (1995)

1. Heartbeat
2. Hurts So
3. Cry
4. Love Thing

Because of Him Lyrics

Just knew about the song yesterday, and found out that this gay song is by a openly gay artist, whose real name is Reg Vermue.

Boyfriend, boyfriend, where are you?
I ain't got no money and I ain't got no boyfriend
Boyfriend, boyfriend, where are you?
I ain't got no money and I ain't got no boyfriend

Tell me how to grow into what you know
Skip past all the quiet months of shyness that I hold
Formalities be stashed
I've no use for that
Seems that age has snuck up to attack
It's the light that missed me
It's those man-sized titties
Someone should have told the kids the truth about what's pretty
You notice no eyes staring
Suddenly you're caring
And willing to take plunges if they were daring

Soon it's gonna come around
It's gonna sing the song you never wrote
It will astound

Boyfriend, boyfriend, where are you?
I ain't got no money and I ain't got no boyfriend
Boyfriend, boyfriend, where are you?
I ain't got no money and I ain't got no boyfriend

How much time must pass
How long I can last
What's the chance he's out there you're crossing different paths
Maybe I was blinking
My island's slowly sinking
I need a strong arm to do the rescuing
Now I will accost all the time lost
Grab it by the neck and make it cough up what I want
There's no getting back years of singles past
What would be the point in lamenting that

Soon it's gonna come around
It's gonna sing the song you never wrote
It will astound

Boyfriend, boyfriend, where are you?
I ain't got no money and I ain't got no boyfriend
Boyfriend, boyfriend, where are you?
I ain't got no money and I ain't got no boyfriend
I ain't got no money and I ain't got no boyfriend
I ain't got no money but I've got to get my boyfriend back

This was the kiss worth the wait.

Tony (Nicholas Hoult from 'About A Boy' film) had decided to do the 'when in Rome' thing with Maxxie (gorgeous Mitch Hewer) in the gay-friendly TV series Skins. When the gang went on a trip to Russia, Tony hit on Maxxie. Eventually, Maxxie gave in and Tony gave Maxxie a BJ, thinking that his girlfriend was asleep.

The kiss the two beautiful boys shared was thrilling, even though it was brief. I love this gay tv episode of Skins.

Hmmm...

The Kiss

Two guys' relationship was tested when a third party, an older guy, appeared.

I cannot find any info on this gay short film in IMDB.

Directed by RD Alba, this gay short starts with a young boy running away from the law. He ends up in the back alley, only to bump into another trouble, a leather jacket daddy, who hates faggot. Conversation between them reveals that the boy runs away because he bashes a man whom he thought was trying to blow him when he was taking a leak.

Shelter rises very high indeed, thanks to a superb performance by Trevor Wright in the lead role, a strong supporting cast, very good cinematography and, most of all, emotional authenticity. - David Wiegand, San Francisco Chronicle

What could have been a standard-issue coming-out, coming-of-age movie develops a remarkable intimacy. - John Hartl, Seattle Times

There are several screams on net forums that claim Shelter as the best gay themed film of 2008 (which made me wonder coz IMDB listed it as a 2007 film) that I forced myself to re-watch Shelter. And sadly, the magic did not work on me. I still wonder what it has that fails to click with me.

Shelter is a well-made film, I have to give that to it. Jonah Markowitz wrote and directed this film about a young man who sacrificed his dream in order to stay with his family. Zach (Trevor Wright) gave up his dream and scholarship to pursuit studies. He choose sto stay behind to take care of his dad and his sister's child - Cody. He has a girlfriend who calls him monkey.

And then, came Shaun (Brad Rowe), the brother of his best friend. Shaun is gay, and people know about it. Zach mixes with Shaun, and his sexual orientation becomes obvious to him, although he tries hard to keep that (and also his relationship with Shaun) a secret.

When he is confronted by his sister, he begins to stay away from Shaun and that makes him even more miserable.

One thing cute that would make me remember this film could be the use of walkie-talkie. Hey, Ang Lee's The Wedding Banquet has already made use of the mobile phone. So, why not a talkie? : )

At least this is not another poor B-grade gay themed film that takes advantage of the gays' hunger for more gay love stories. This film is one that is made tastefully, and should have no problem in serving the market well. But personally for me, I still await for the better gay themed film of the year. But don't let my words fool you. Just take a look at the awards it has won so far...

"The shortest distance between friends isn't always a straight line."

Reviews:
"..so likeable.." - Roger Ebert, Chicago Suntimes

If there is a good popcorn gay film for gay friends to gather together to watch, laugh together and sulk together, it would have to be this film - The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy. But then again, I am still puzzled with the need to identify itself as a romantic comedy in its title.

This is the one film that one can catch Dean Cain (the superman, but without his red brief) in a gay role. And also a film to see the young Andrew Keegan sharing lips-to-lips kiss with Timothy Olyphant.

The Broken Hearts is about a group of gay friends, who stick to one another through the daily, weekly turbulence - upsets, happy moments, hardship etc. There's Dennis (Timothy) who complains not about his lack of boyfriend. Who kicks a cute guy out when the guy does not think The Carpenters are romantic. There's Cole (Dean) who sleeps with guys and dumps them. Until he is dumped by a closet star, Kip (Michael Bergin). There is the newbie, Kevin (Andrew) who discovers uneasily the gay life aka One Night Stand, where he is dumped by Cole the next time when Cole eyes a new catcher in the field (Kerr Smith). Benji (Zach Braff aka Scrubs) is a guy who finds new friends, and new problem to deal with; drugs. And there are more...

What is pleasing about this gay themed film is that the lines were written really good, that I am amazed with the could-actually-be-happening gay events in life. Something that could have happened in any gay's life.

There are so many scenes to love and to laugh in that film. I like it when more are called in to identify if Howie is gay. Or Taylor crying his heart out that there is no Barbra or Judy CD in the house where he is depressed over his ended relationship.

A gem, definitely. Only wish that the ending could be happier.

This is the gay movie that I hate to hate. But I am. I am hating it.

Kiss The Bride is the second offering from C. Jay Cox, the same director who gave us the modern classic Latter Days (2003). I have been looking forward to the film since the news about Cox handling another gay themed film was buzzing on the net. I was worried about how much I could like the film, or dislike, since that there was already ONE factor that made me stunned about the inclusion.

Kiss The Bride is about handsome gay Matt (Phillipp Karner) who has to be that male version of Julia Roberts of My Best Friend's Wedding, who has to stop his younger years gay-lover, Ryan (James O'Shea) from marrying a girl, Alex (Tori Spelling). They have lost contact since Matt left for Stanford and last saw one another 10 years ago. When they meet again, Matt wonders if there is still any spark between them, but cannot help to like Alex, which makes him feeling bad about trying to stop Ryan. But he has to. Matt knows that the reason his relationship with other guys fails so far because of his one past - he never let go of Ryan.

So, do I like the film? There is this niceness feeling about the show, that I cannot help to like. And trusting Cox, he gets the best guys to play the lead roles, just like the yummy Steve Sandvoss and Wes Ramsey in Latter Days - a winning factor. Philipp Karner and James O'Shea are delicious candymen. It just fills the voids left by Steve and Wes when we are reliving scenes of good-looking guys kissing one another.

And for the record, Steve Sandvoss is also in this film, as a nutty straight Chris who did have a gay experience once.

So, what's good about the show? The leading men. The gay romance. Seeing Steve Sandvoss again. The sparks between Matt and Ryan.

What's bad about the movie? Tori Spelling. I have never liked that girl. She was irritating in gay themed film, Trick, where she has to be that irritating fag hag who wouldn't leave the room for the gay boys to have their thing. She was the irritating girl who interrupted a possible gay scene in a sauna between the gay character (Zachary Quinto) and another handsome guy in So Notorious. In this film, she more subdued, but still, there was this irritation watching her. She is no Debra Messing (Grace). She is no Sharon Gless (Debbie in QAF). She has this spoilt-rich-daughter look that I can never overlook.

So, I can never buy the story that she manages to turn on a pure gay Matt. Hell, she's the reason why gays stay gays. And her speech at the end of the film was purely fake.

This is a gay film. It should stay gay. There should be no such line such as 'I don't love men. I just love Matt'. WTF is that?

Alex or Tori has no place in the film. Why oh why was she included in the film?

Out of 5 stars, I would have given it 4 stars until the Alex and Matt's kissing scene. And the ending is just a -2 stars. The ending wastes my two hours.

Again. Fuck. This is a gay themed film. Let it end with a gay themed happy ending.

Gay wedding. In Brothers & Sisters. Yeah! Kevin (Matthew Rhys) popped the question in the episode before, and in this episode, we watched he got married to handsome Scotty (Luke MacFarlane).

This is the best gay tv episode of the season. : )

So, the gay was outed in the Gossip Girl series. When the buzz was buzzing about a gay character appearing in the Gossip Girl, I prayed hard that it would not be Chuck. Of course, we want Nate (Chace Crawford) or Daniel (Penn Badgley) to be the gay one. Yeah, right. Like that would ever happen.

And then, it was revealed that it would be Eric (Connor Paolo), Serena's cute brother. There's a God meeting us halfway. And the good news was that it would be discovered through a kiss. A KISS???!!! That would be a young kiss. That sounds kinky.

And then, the kiss came. That was it???

And it did not help to show that the other guy was a jerk. Gee, thanks a lot.

Well, at least it happened. Gay happened in Supernatural. You know. That show with the homoerotic content about 2 gorgeous-looking brothers who are stuck with one another as they go hunting and destroying demons, ghosts, vampires etc etc. It was bound to happen. And it did. Except that the gay plot does not involve our favorite Ghostbusters hunkies, but guest actors. (But if you check back, there 3 episodes with some gay sub-text implanted in the tv series).

Alan (acted by Dustin Milligan). Said to have interest on another male character. And that is the gayest we can get from Supernatural tv show. A tv show that decides to mock the gays. Hmm... Well, at least Dustin is good-looking.

I saw this just now, and thought of sharing it here. The gay short film is called Timeless, and there is no English subtitle. The whole 8 minutes film is in Mandarin. Although I am not well-verse in Mandarin, I am able to work out what happened in the film.

A guy meets another guy who asks for direction. A friendship is built. They hang out, and eventually, both end up in the direction-seeker's place. The former is surprised to see that the latter has a girlfriend, as revealed by the photo in the room. Disappointed, he leaves. But he accidentally leaves his mobile phone. When the second guy finds his photo in the phone, he chases after the first guy. Unfortunately... well, you have to find out on your own.

This is a Swedish film, written and directed by Hakon Liu. This gay short film talks about the development of the relationship between two teenagers. A coming out story, that is interluded by the trailers' community craze for karaoke contest. Enjoy Lucky Blue.

I need to blog this down before I forget about this song. Yes, Miss Janet did a gay song. I remember now. Not Together Again, the divine song that was a tribute by Janet Jackson to her friends who died of AIDS. But this gay song, which talks about gay boys and lesbians and their casual-free on-off relationships. Free Xone is taken from her album The Velvet Rope (1997).

Sittin next to this guy

One of the earliest songs that talked about pride being gay. This gay song was done by Tom Robinson Band for the Gay Pride in 1976. Glad To Be Gay is a fun song.

The British Police are the best in the world
I don't believe one of these stories I've heard
'Bout them raiding our pubs for no reason at all
Lining the customers up by the wall
Picking out people and knocking them down
Resisting arrest as they're kicked on the ground
Searching their houses and calling them queer
I don't believe that sort of thing happens here

Sing if you're glad to be gay
Sing if you're happy that way

Pictures of naked young women are fun
In Titbits and Playboy, page three of The Sun
There's no nudes in Gay News our last magazine
But they still find excuses to call it obscene
Read how disgusting we are in the press
The News of The World and the Sunday Express
Molesters of children, corruptors of youth
It's there in the paper, it must be the truth

Sing if you're glad to be gay
Sing if you're happy that way

Don't try to kid us that if you're discreet
You're perfectly safe as you walk down the street
You don't have to mince or make bitchy remarks
To get beaten unconscious and left in the dark
I had a friend who was gentle and short
Got lonely one evening and went for a walk
Queerbashers caught him and kicked in his teeth
He was only hospitalised for a week

Sing if you're glad to be gay
Sing if you're happy that way

So sit back and watch as they close all our clubs
Arrest us for meeting and raid all our pubs
Make sure your boyfriend's at least 21
So only your friends and your brothers get done
Lie to your workmates, lie to your folks
Put down the queens and tell anti-queer jokes
Gay Lib's ridiculous, join their laughter
'The buggers are legal now, what more are they after?'

Sing if you're glad to be gay
Sing if you're happy that way

You know those movies with twists at the end? Well, here's one gay short film with a Twist at the end too. The gay film starts with two boys messing around in the house. Watch the ending. Interesting. You may be grossed out by Between The Boys.

Me? Just appreciating the effort. And the beautiful gay guys in film, directed by Jake Yuzna.

Having a crush, interest, puppy love or plain attraction on one's roommate. Been there. Done that. The worst is if the roommate is straight. Then, it is pure agony and torture. This gay short film, Straight Boys, which was featured in Logoonline, is written and directed by Dave O'Brien. Watch it. Re-live our past for a mere 14 minutes.

This is my second blogging of Jay Brannan's song. This gay song spells out the heart of (almost) all gay guys out there who have this wish of building a life together with their love partner. Housewife is not released on any album, yet. Go and support Jay Brannan, and hopefully we can see him in more glamour.

Two bodies pressed together
Two boys are falling hard
The smell of sweat and leather
A kinky greeting card

Crazy about each other
We both have fucked up pasts
But when we are together
We have a fucking blast

Chorus
I wanna be a housewife
What’s so wrong with that
I wanna be a housewife, yeah
And that’s just where i’m at

I’m making guacamole
He’s working on the car
When he grills turkey burgers
He knows i like them charred

I like to wash the dishes
I like to scrub the floors
Don’t mind doing his laundry
What are boyfriends for

Chorus

I wanna have his baby
I wanna wear his ring
He drives me fuckin crazy
I am his everything

Chorus

2nd chorus
I wanna be a housewife
What’s so wrong with that
Can’t wait ‘til he’s in my life, yeah
Cuz we haven’t met

We haven’t met yet…
We haven’t met yet…

Bumped into this a few minutes ago, and I thought it would be interesting to share with anyone who actually reads the blog here. I don't know much about Freezepop (who are into electropop) but in their album Future Future Future Perfect album (2007), there was this gay song, Do You Like Boys?, where the girl questions the boyfriend's sexual orientation.

I once had a lover
who said that he could not love just one girl
but he could not love at all
and now you're saying
that you're not sure if you want him or me
so i guess i must choose for you

Tell me baby, do you like boys?
or do you prefer us sweet little girls?
i want to know now
do you like boys?

Do you remember
we used to play with anna-mette and tom
i was quite fond of him
so were you
now we're together
and you say that i'm your only love
but i think you wish i was a he

Tell me baby, do you like boys?
or do you prefer us sweet little girls?
i want to know now
do you like boys?
tell me baby, do you like boys?
or do you prefer us sweet little girls?
i want to know now
do you like boys?

Tell me baby, do you like boys?
or do you prefer us sweet little girls?
i want to know now
do you like boys?
hey hey hey
tell me baby, do you like boys?
or do you prefer us sweet little girls?
do you like boys?
i want to know now
do you like boys?
i want to know now
do you like boys?
i want to know now
do you like boys?

This group, Futon, is from Thailand. So, I managed to find a song from the East about gay boy. Not bad. But this gay song is in English. Not Eastern language.

Girls just wanna have fun
but gay boys wanna come all night!
Worship dancefloors
Wanna be media whores
Porn flick, homemade
Jailbait, rough trade
Backseat, my car
sucking off a film star

I wanna be a gay boy
All fun playboy
Look at my tight top
Fake tan and short crop

I don't wanna be straight--
football makes me masturbate!
Sex in saunas
Endless traumas
Fahrenheit Calvin
Habitat shelving
Make friends, break friends
Live for fashion trends

I wanna be a gay boy
All fun playboy
Look at my tight top
Fake tan and short crop

I, I can be gay
And you, you can be led astray!
Boys keep swinging
And I'll keep winning
Sat on a pile of cash
Ingenious marketing plan
Drag queen exploits Japan

I wanna be a gay boy
All fun playboy
Look at my tight top
Fake tan and short crop

If you want to hear the song, go to imeem and search.

The coolest animation ad I've seen. Hot.

Speechless. Damn.

I watched this film Wilde years ago. I did not know who Oscar Wilde was before this, and not that I am trying to remember him more since. I am shallow. Look and skin matter.

However, since that Oscar Wilde's life has an important impact on the gay community, I guess I should talk a little about this gay film. Wilde produced several writings - where the one that got him into trouble of The Picture of Dorian Gray. Sympathetic straights would define this book as one that talked about his obsession with the look of a young guy as someone he wished to be, while the gays knew it was pure obsession.

The Story of the First Modern ManStephen Fry (Oscar Wilde) did an outstanding performance but the shallow me remembers only one thing. The nude performance of the fine, young Jude Law (Bosie), as the young guy who got Wilde into trouble.

By the way, if you don't blink your eyes at the beginning of the show, you will see Orlando Bloom acting as a street hustler. Yes, Orlando Bloom!

Another gay ad. Or homo subtext ad. You judge. Anyway, I think most of us wish for a different ending.

Queer As Folk outed this song to me. Okay, this song has been around for ages, but I only knew about it when I watched Queer As Folk (USA) Episode 17 in Season 2. The artist is Queen, and we know Freddie Mercury is gay. But to hear a male voice in a song that talks about love for another man... wow. I was hooked. Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy was from the album A Day at the Races (1977), and this single reached No.17 in the UK chart.

I can dim the lights and sing you songs full of sad things
We can do the tango just for two
I can serenade and gently play on your heart strings
Be your valentino just for you

Ooh love - ooh loverboy
What're you doin' tonight, hey boy
Set my alarm, turn on my charm
That's because I'm a good old-fashioned lover boy

Ooh let me feel your heartbeat (Grow faster, faster)
Ooh ooh can you feel my love heat
Come on and sit on my hot-seat of love
And tell me how do you feel right after-all
I'd like for you and I to go romancing
Say the word - your wish is my command

Ooh love - ooh loverboy
What're you doin' tonight, hey boy
Write my letter
Feel much better
And use my fancy patter on the telephone

When I'm not with you
I think of you always
(I miss those long hot summer nights)
I miss you
When I'm not with you
Think of me always
Love you - love you

Hey boy where do you get it from
Hey boy where did you go ?
I learned my passion in the good old
Fashioned school of loverboys

Dining at the Ritz we'll meet at nine precisely
One two three four five six seven eight nine o' clock
I will pay the bill, you taste the wine
Driving back in style, in my saloon will do quite nicely
Just take me back to yours that will be fine (Come on and get it)

Ooh love, (There he goes again just like a good old-fashioned lover boy)
Ooh loverboy
What're you doin' tonight, hey boy
Everything's all right
Just hold on tight
That's because I'm a good old-fashioned fashioned lover boy

This song was covered by Jason Mraz in the tribute album to the Queen.
